Dieci anni fa, correva il 2012, si inaugurò al museo MACRO di Roma la mostra ‘Neon la materia luminosa dell’Arte’. Questo fu per noi un momento epico … finalmente il NEON veniva consacrato a materia dell’arte proprio nel centenario della sua invenzione. Di lì a pochi mesi a Minamata in Giappone veniva firmata la convenzione per l’abolizione del mercurio da tutte le lavorazioni. Decidemmo quindi di intraprendere una strada che ci permettesse di ridurne la quantità all’interno del tubo.

Ten years ago, it was 2012 and the exhibition ‘Neon la materia luminosa dell’Arte’ opened at MACRO museum in Rome. This was for us an epic moment… it highlighted the legacy of neon in the international artistic panorama, in the very same year that marked a century from its invention. Just a few months later in Minamata, Japan, the agreement to ban mercury from all industrial processing was signed. We therefore decided to em-bark on a path that would allow us to produce mercury free neon.
